    The Fairfax Family|Hinesville, GA|Family Photography

    Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Meet the beautiful Fairfax family of four. After one session getting rained out by our wonderful GA weather, we were finally able to meet up last night to get some updated family pictures! Used to more formal, studio portraits, they quickly warmed up to my goofy ideas, and me chasing them around for two hours with my camera. It may or may not have helped that mom mentioned buying Rock Band if they showed some teeth ;) We had fun downtown and out in my favorite field, chatting over video games, army life and our shared fear of snakes. Thanks, guys, for letting me spend 2 hours with you shooting your BEAUTIFUL family! Leave them some love below :)

And we have TEETH!!! Mission accomplished.

Moody, laughing, and thinking? I’ll take it!

    Are you kidding me???????? GORGEOUS!

    Let’s bring out the romance!

    Nose kisses. My FAVE!

I was blog-stalking Lauren Clark yesterday and I came across her recipe for her yummy chocolate chip cookies, so I decided to try my hand at them. I have never been very good at making cookies from scratch; I have always bought the refrigerated dough and slapped them in the oven and called ‘em homemade. But these turned out awesome and now I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Pillsbury break ‘n’ bake :D I am not, nor do I claim to be, a food photographer so the pic sucks, but you get the idea. They are really as yummy as they look! Recipe is in the linky link :) The only thing I changed was milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet, but I am a rebel like that.

I also got a whim to make some grown up macaroni and cheese I saw on the Food Network. This took a lot more preperation than the old Velveeta shells and cheese that I am used to, but it was really delicious and made a ton of food!

The directions are in the link. I edited it to my taste as I am not an onion lover and I used smoked cheddar instead of sharp (OMG heaven in my mouth) but it was still yummy. Anyway, this has been your installment of “Cooking with Amy” for today. Happy eating!

    Annette: :SAVANNAH PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

    Monday, August 10th, 2009

Annette comes from New Orleans and on her way back home from a family trip up north, she stopped in for a portrait session with me.  You’d think we’d be used to the Southern heat but it was sooo miserable! By the end of the session, we were both melting, but I’m glad we got the chance to meet and I’m glad I had the opportunity to take her photos before she had to get back on the road! Going through these, I love the stories her eyes tell, makes you wonder what’s on her mind. Thanks, Annette, for letting me be your photographer for the day and I’ll have the rest up for you soon!
